Questions upon Questions – and Answers

The Riedenblick Apartments operate on an "online-only" basis, from booking to departure, the entire process is digitized, especially communication, which is conducted exclusively via email. Since there is no reception on-site where you can quickly address questions, we recommend finding answers on this page. You can also visit us on Instagram or Facebook, where you'll find some short videos that also explain a few things.

Booking

How can I book?

Booking is online over booking.riedenblick.at, where we walk you step-by-step through the booking process and you finally pay by bank transfer (using a QR-code). You find us also at Booking.com and Airbnb.

How is the booking process?

In the first step, you need to provide your travel dates and an email address. With this pre-reservation, you will receive an email containing a link that you must use within 24 hours to proceed with the booking. This is necessary because we require a valid email address during the rest of the booking process.

Using the link from the previous step, you'll access the reservation page. Here, you select the desired apartments and confirm the arrival and departure dates. These dates may differ from the ones initially provided. You'll see all applicable discounts and the total price, including the tourist tax. Upon submitting the reservation, you'll receive an email with the reservation confirmation. At this point, the chosen apartments are reserved and cannot be booked by other guests. You'll see your provisional reservation with the assigned reservation code in the booking calendar.

You have 7 days to complete the reservation and convert it into a final booking. To do this, you need to enter guest details on the website, download the guest form, sign it, upload the signed guest form again, and make the payment. If you fail to complete the booking within 7 days, the reservation will be deleted, and you'll need to start over.

Upon receipt of payment, you will receive an email with the access code to open the doors. Only when you receive this email, the booking process is completed. You'll see your confirmed booking with the assigned booking code in the booking calendar. From now on, there is nothing more to do; you have paid and completed the guest registration. Relax and enjoy your stay at Riedenblick.

Prices & Discounts

Each apartment has a base price, which corresponds to the maximum daily rate during the high season. Discounts are calculated based on this base price, which depend on the season, the day of the week, the duration of the stay, and the arrival date. In the booking calendar, you can see the price valid for each apartment on each day, based on the respective season and day. Arrival and length-of-stay discounts are applied once the stay dates are entered. Before payment, you'll see a summary including all discounts. The tourist tax is listed separately and is to be paid in advance.

Which payment methods are available?

On our website we support bank transfer. At the end of the booking process you'll receive a QR-code, which provides a comfortable way to issue the payment. If want/have to pay by credit card, then please book via Booking.com or Airbnb.

Why do I have to pay in advance?

At the end of the booking process, you will receive the PIN code for the entrance doors automatically, allowing you to open the doors throughout your entire stay. We kindly ask for your understanding that we will only provide this code after payment has been completed.

Why is the day after tomorrow the earliest arrival date?

Between booking and arrival, there is a period of time needed for your transfer to appear in our bank account. Additionally, we require some time to install the PIN codes on all doors. If you wish to arrive on short notice, we kindly ask you to contact us via email to arrange the details.

Do I get an invoice?

Once the payment has been received in our bank account, you will receive the PIN codes for the entrance doors and an invoice via email. With this, the booking is completed and binding.

How can I cancel a reservation?

Cancel a fixed booking simply via Email. You'll receive a cancellation confirmation and we will transfer the money back to your account instantly.

Cancellation Fees
until 14 days prior to arrival free
until 5 days prior to arrival 20% of total amount excluding vacation tax
until 2 days prior to arrival 50% of total amount excluding vacation tax

We need a voucher as a present for our friends. How does this work?

Please go to the booking page booking.riedenblick.at. On the first page, you will find a link for voucher booking. When booking a voucher, you simply enter the desired value of the voucher. If desired, you can also personalize the voucher with a personal greeting and a short message. After payment, you will receive an invoice and your personalized voucher as a PDF via email. You just need to print it out or forward it to your friends.

The voucher contains a code that your friends must enter as a promotion code when booking. The apartment price will then be reduced by the value of the voucher. Additionally, the voucher includes a QR code, allowing your friends to avoid entering the promotion code manually.

A voucher is valid indefinitely.

Breakfast

We are a pure apartment house and do not offer breakfast. In the Bruck apartment, you have your own kitchen, and in the smaller apartments, you can use the shared kitchen. In both kitchens, you will find a coffee machine, an induction cooker, a refrigerator, and the necessary dishes to prepare breakfast according to your preferences.

Except on Sundays, you can also have breakfast at Café Extrazimmer in Mühldorf.

Convertible Sofa Bed (Apartment Bruck)

The convertible sofa bed Multy by Ligne Roset supports 3 positions: sit, relax, and sleep. Usually, upon arrival it should be in "relax" (the back rest is less steep).

In order to switch from one to the other, you have to tilt it to the back, lift the sitting area while pulling it a little bit such that the backrest is in a horizontal position (see pictures). Starting from the "relax" position, lift the seating area until it "clicks" once, then it is in "sleep" position. When starting from the "sit" position it goes to "relax" after the first "click". Keep lifting until the second "click", then it is in sleeping position.

Starting from the "sleep" position, lift the seating area until it "clicks" once, then it is in "relax" position. Keep lifting until the second "click", then it is back in "sit" position. It is important that the part of the frame with the rear feet stays on the floor, don't lift this part (see pictures). Check out this video, it's really easy.

Dimming the lights

All LED-stripes can be dimmed. For changing brightness just hold the light switch.

The ring lights in the living room have three brightness levels. When turned on, they are always at the brightest level. Turning them off and immediately turning them back on switches to the next dimmer level.

E-Car

At the pillar in front of the shared kitchen, there is a charging station for electric cars. There is no charge for using it; charging is provided as a voluntary service. Additionally, no liability is assumed for the charging process itself. To initiate charging, you need the chip card located in the box in the shared kitchen next to the wine refrigerator. First, connect the charging cable to your car. When the station is ready to charge, the symbols on the charging station will blink green. Then, hold the chip card in front of the blinking symbols. A beep will indicate that the card has been recognized, the symbol on the charging station will turn blue, and the charging process will begin. Please return the chip card to the box in the kitchen immediately after use to avoid accidentally taking it and to allow other guests to use the charging station. To stop charging, disconnect the charging cable from your vehicle as per your vehicle's model; the chip card is not needed to stop charging.

Should there be multiple guests wishing to charge their vehicles, please communicate with each other. There is no reservation system for the charging station.

E-Bikes and Bicycles

You can put your bicycles in the lockable bike room opposite the communal kitchen. The key to the bike room is located in the box in the communal kitchen next to the wine refrigerator. Please return the key to the box in the kitchen immediately after use to avoid accidentally taking it and to allow other guests to use the bike room.

For e-bikes, there are sufficient power outlets next to the door for charging the batteries.

Sun protection and blinds (Apartment Bruck)

The glass front towards the terrace is equipped with an external sunscreen that can be operated electrically from the inside (switch located near the terrace door). You can use the arrow keys to raise/lower the sunscreen. The left and right parts can be controlled separately. At the control switch (round button at the bottom right), you can select 3 channels: Channel 1 or 2 controls the left or right part individually, while Channel 3 operates both parts simultaneously. The motors automatically stop when the sunscreen reaches the top or bottom. If you want to keep the sliding door open at night, it is recommended to lower the sunscreen; in this case, it acts as an insect screen and also protects against unexpected visits from martens living in the neighboring barn.

Sun protection and blinds (Apartment Schön)

The glass front is equipped with an external sunscreen that can be operated electrically from the inside. You can use the arrow keys to raise/lower the sunscreen. The left, right, and the part facing the terrace can be controlled separately. At the control switch (round button at the bottom right), you can select 4 channels: Channel 1, 2, and 3 operate the left, right, and the part facing the terrace individually, while Channel 4 operates all three parts simultaneously. The motors automatically stop when the sunscreen reaches the top or bottom. If you want to keep the sliding door open at night, it is recommended to lower the sunscreen; in this case, it acts as an insect screen and also protects against unexpected visits from martens living in the neighboring barn. In summer, the sun reaches the Spitzer Graben very early from the east. We recommend activating the sunscreen in the evening already (also for privacy), so you won't be surprised by the morning sun. This way, you can also counteract the general heating of the apartment during heatwaves.

Sun protection and blinds (Apartment Trenning)

In front of the door, there is an external sunscreen that can be operated electrically from the inside. You can use the arrow keys to raise/lower the sunscreen. If you want to keep the door open at night (there is a door stopper inside), it is recommended to lower the sunscreen; in this case, it acts as an insect screen and also protects against unexpected visits from martens living in the neighboring barn.

You can switch between channels using the P+ and P- buttons on the remote control. We kindly ask you not to modify the basic settings on the devices, such as program channels or satellite reception settings.

Ventilation

All apartments are equipped with controlled ventilation systems (not air condition). Additional ventilation through open windows or doors should not be necessary under normal circumstances. The closed windows and doors also serve as effective insect protection.

Waste

If the trash cans in the kitchens become full, there are waste bins located in the street area immediately in front of the driveway, including a general waste bin and an organic waste bin.

What's up in Spitz?

The Tourism Association Spitz manages the Digital Guest Guide Spitz, where you can find current and relevant information for guests, such as which wine taverns are open, current events, information from the gastronomy sector, and much more.

Wine fridge

In the communal kitchen, there is a wine fridge from which you can purchase various wines for cash. The supply is limited. If you stay longer (or need more), you are welcome to use the wine fridge for your own wines as well.
